The Encounter
Act I. Scene I.
ACT I: Scene I
Scene: The Land of Wildomar.
Chorus: He arrived at this event, unknowing the exact purpose or reason. Believing he was all alone, carrying a heavy sadness to an unseen jubilee.
Enter Maslow and Sophia.
Maslow: (Asking himself) Is this it? A wrong turn did I take?
Sophia: (Behind a large boulder) Such often the case when we lose a piece of our self.
Maslow: (Caught off guard) Tarry not! Witness, present yourself!
Sophia: (Moving into his view) Sophia, I am she, sent to you by Clio, Muse of History.
Maslow: Mysterious, how this daylight finds you! A moment ago I was all alone!
Sophia: Yet now you are not! Astray your aura shows. What banishing has led to your retreat?
Maslow: A fall has brought me to this place. Lachesis’s sacred trust lost, of her I must have offended! A thread cut short of how long it might have been. One moment feeling as if I had understood life’s grand scheme, yet in a flash the walls came tumbling down! And now alone I find myself, here at these crossroads.
Sophia: So what becomes of you?
